How can you blame theistic belief on childhood indoctrination?

while you were reading shakespeare, dickens and the like you should have rounded your education out with some science and logical reasoning skills. The reason many adults buy into these religions is because they don't have the skills to have an educated rational world view--hence you get people that are religious-is why we have adults in the middle east blowing things up--the lack of education makes for a warped world view.
