Hannah, you have raised an interesting question. The Bible indeed speaks of hell being emptied of the dead, sorry to say some who read this directly from their own translation of their Bibles will say that hell has become the lake of fire just as some say that God almighty became Jesus even though the Bible does not say or teach such things. If one would only search the scriptures, & with holy spirit the truth about hell will be revealed. Job was at the time when the historical book was penned about him was BY GOD not once but twice to satan considered the most BLAMELESS & UPRIGHT man on the face of the earth(Job 1:7-8) (Job 2:1-3) & yet Job stated hope in the Resurrection after death when God's appointed time will come to give him life again but to conceal him in (hell/sheol) until that time comes. Job 14:10-15 Let us remember that this is the Bible that says such things & not an individual religious group. I am not one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
