Was this a good threat, dramatically speaking?

You didn't finish your story properly, you've missed the bit about waking up and realising it was all just a dream. If you were outnumbered 3 to 1 I doubt you would have come off too well if they had started a fight with you so why were you looking forward to them trying it and beating them up? As for them turning white and changing direction, I don't think that was true, if anything I think they would have laughed and taunted you.
